The assignment required conducting site visits and due diligence, assessing potential social risks and safety concerns arising from the use of solar photovoltaic panels, and preparing social safeguard plans and frameworks for involuntary resettlement.

Outcomes

We delivered the following solutions to ensure compliance:

Conducted socioeconomic surveys, focus group discussions, biodiversity surveys and critical habitat assessments.
Carried out poverty and social analysis of each project scheme on the poor, women and other vulnerable groups, and prepared gender assessment reports.
Conducted community and stakeholder consultations.
Prepared the IEE, ESIA and ESARF, along with Resettlement and Gender Action Plans.
