Environmental and Social Impact Assessment

The assignment includes review and update of the Detailed Project Report and preparation of an ESIA assessing project impacts and risks in accordance with ADB's Safeguard Policy Statement (2009) and Royal Government of Bhutan requirements.

Outcomes

We delivered the following solutions to ensure compliance:

Performed all studies, analysis and assessments, undertaking consultations and field visits as required.
Prepared the ESIA and ESMP for the Bunakha HPP.
Reviewed requirements for, and supported DGPC in obtaining, statutory clearances for implementation.
Reviewed ancillary and associated infrastructure facilities required for implementation, and promoted tendering processes.
